For some reason I’ve been getting lots of emails and several comments lately regarding NuCalender module for phpNuke. Just to make things clear – I am not the original author of the module. I have only done some extensions for myself and released them, but I’m certainly not the one that can release new versions of the module. I am also not the right person to send bugs reports about the module functionality which has nothing to do with the extension code I’ve added.
The original author (and the one that suppose to release new official versions) is Bill Smith which can be reached at VettesofTheTropics.com.
BTW, I have recently done some bug fixing and more modifications to the script and I will release it soon, once I’ll have the time to pack the whole thing together nicely. You’re free to bug me on this, it will surely make me motivated…
Doing a group work on CEBE sunglasses and need to do a chapter about the overall history of sunglasses. This is just a page to save links and data.

I needed a rest this weekend and partly got it.
Thursday was a full day. Started in the morning in calling more apartments and driving all over Ramat Aviv to check possible places. Haven’t found a place yet, but met some very weird people. That must count for something. I’ve later drove to Jerusalem to have a great time with Shir, her friends, and most important – my friends which I haven’t seen in about a month or two (since leaving Jerusalem). I drove back to Ashkelon and fell asleep the minute I’ve touched the bed.
Friday evening was calm. Went to Nir to see a DVD of Matrix Reloaded and Jackie Chan’s My Stunts video.
Today, however, was a little exhausting. We had relatives with 3 young kids and I felt like I had to be everywhere all the time. They left at about 17:00 which was already dark and I was disappointed I couldn’t take Leonardo and go with Hila and Dan to the park. I’ve spent the hours since mostly working on the next version of NewsGrabber (0.6). Now I’m writing stuff I need to bring to tomorrow’s copywriting course. Seems I’ll go to sleep pretty late yet again.
Every time I find myself forced to move my hair from my face more then twice a minute, I know I need to go to the barber. And I hate it.
Every time I sit there, ask in simple words not to remove more than 2 cm from the overall length and every time no matter who the barber is, they disregard my request. I end up having a not-shirt-not-long hair and since I refuse to put all these creams and gels in my hair – it always look bad.
Today was even weirder than usual. He decided to “go on with your Italian look” and 2 girls sitting in the back were constantly encouraging him (“Wow! so beautiful!” “Wow, it highlights your eyes!” “Say, can I date you?”). I ended up looking like an Italian street boy. Now all I need is a bimbo on my right arm and a gold necklace.
And I’m suppose to open the IGDA conference next week looking like this!?
Rosh Ha’Shana passed, Yom Kippur also, and now we’re in the middle of Sukot. A month full of holidays only days apart. Hectic.
Almost everything is set for the next IGDA meeting. This one is (hopefully) going to be very big. We expect around 100-150 people to come. I have also built a new website for our Israel chapter, specially for the occasion. I’m closing the program right now, assigning hours to each lecture.
I’m having several things on my immediate “to do” list. I was hired to make profiles for newsgrabber for a company in the US, and I’m coding newsgrabber 1.6 while doing it. The IGDA conference-day is taking quite a bit of my time to organize, as well. I’m still work on my mobile flirting game, hopefully for the Escape network. I’ll discuss it with some people on the conference in 2 weeks. We also have a project in the copywriting course about CeBe sunglasses. Need to take it more seriously, though, rumors has it that it’s going to be our mid-course exhibition subject. In the meantime I’m still looking for apartment in the Tel Aviv area. Something nice, quiet, not expensive and with a parking space.
BTW, before I forget, a few links I want to write down somewhere:
Jetable – Temporary one-time email addresses which will direct email to your real email box for the duration you specify (then the address is deleted forever).
Yom Kippur is over and to sum it up – it wasn’t too hard. The only problem is that it was quite hot and since we couldn’t drink we had to make sure the house will stay cool. Part of that things went easy.
After eating I was sent to check the news on the net, since the Israeli TV channels will not be back in the air until 20:00. The news were pretty much what we expected. The Hizbulla (which gets orders from Syria) attacked the northern border. Israel returned fire. Lebanon claimed Israel sent up helicopters to attack cars but the IDF said there were no helicopters used and the Israeli side mostly returned local fire (personal guns fire and stuff like that).
Syria also had the UN security council assembled, hoping to have it condemn Israel for the attack. However, it all turned against them when the US had publicly condemned Syria itself, protected Israel’s right to defend itself and declared that Syria must switch sides in the war on terror. The Israeli representative, Dani Gilerman, was reported to give an excellent speech where he compared the Syrian call for assembling to the Taliban calling a condemnation to the US after Sept. 11. (CNN report)

In a few hours all of Israel will come to a halt. No cars. No buses. No shops. No TV. No Radio. and no one eating. Well, maybe some will, but most of us won’t. I think Yom Kippur is the only day of the year I’m still going to the synagogue (except for special occasions like weddings and stuff). I used to go on Saturdays sometimes when I was young with my uncles but since I’ve turned 13 no body force me to anymore so I don’t. Was a little disappointed that Yossi didn’t come to Ashkelon, though, I hoped to go with him. Guess I’ll go alone this time…
Anyway, Israel has certainly decided to react after the bloody attack yesterday. In addition to the minor attacks in Gaza yesterday (destroying a weapons storage and an empty house of an Islamic Jihad senior) Israel had attacked inside Syria. A thing we haven’t done for about 20 years. I’m feeling quite good with the decision to go ahead on that. I wouldn’t want attacking inside Syria to become a habit, but I’m certainly all for pointed, single, mass-power attacks against Palestinian terrorist targets in Syria. This attack wasn’t anything critical, though. Only 1 person was killed and we’re not yet informed of how much damage was done to the training facility. The facility was used to train Hammas, Islamic Jihad and Popular Front terrorists and then send them back to the Palestinian cities to found terror cells. The facility was located north of Damascus and all our pilots and planes are well.

I was busy checking the leaked source code of Half Life 2 when my mom called me up. A terror attack happened at Maxim Restaurant in Haifa. Apparently a female terrorist managed to get into the middle of the busy restaurant and explode. The responsible for the attack is the Islamic Jihad.
So far 19 dead (children included) and more then 60 wounded.
Among dead at least 5 are children below age of 5 and 1 of them is a baby 2 months old.
Among wounded around 10 are kids, 3 of them in critical condition.
The restaurant is in a joint arab-jewish ownership, and the dead/wounded expected to be both Arabs and Jews as well. The explosion destroyed most of the restaurant.
Abu Alla (Ahmed Qorei), the Palestinian prime minister-designee, condemned the attack, but as everyone in Israel knows, this worth absolutely nothing. The PA had been doing absolutely nothing to stop terror attacks, even the ones they know of in advance. Not to mention that Arafat’s own movement (Fatah, and it’s Fatach-Tanzim) are taking active part in planning and executing terror attacks (guess who funds it? Right, the PA!)
