Note to self

Getting involved with sensitive insecured people – Bad Bad Bad!
They take forever to wash off.

Links for later reading

Another pack of links for further reading later. Been a while since I had time to look around and post these (and even longer since I actually had a time to read all the stuff…)

Cellphones: Compare prices with your cameraphone, Sony Ericsson’s gamepad for the Z600

Science: 2003: The year in biology and medicine, 2003: The year in space and astronomy, Cohabiting boosts men’s mental health, First images from infrared telescope are ‘sensational’, First private rocket ship goes supersonic, ‘Humanised’ organs can be grown in animals, The next 100 years of flight: 1st Part2nd Part, Shadows are hardwired into the brain

A short blogs scan:
Ohad is enjoying the end of his trip as he’s coming back to Israel in about 2 weeks or so. Renata (Rinat) having fun visiting Brazil and posting some notes. Celestial Blue had enjoyed chanuka and spends the weekend reading the book The Trouble with Islam : A Wake-up Call for Honesty and Change by Irshad Manji. I came across her site a while back but had no opportunity to look for the book (not to mention a time to read it…) I don’t know – does all people reading Celestial’s posts feel a relaxed atmosphere waving from it, or is it just me? :)

Allison latest post gave me, an Israel-born Jew, a little glimpse into the eyes of the jews living in christian-based countries (like the US in this example). Allison’s parents were surprised to see the streets here does not have Christmas atmosphere which was a new perspective for me. Also, I really do like the candles lighting ceremony that happens during the holiday just about everywhere. on our break in the copywriting course, on restaurants, on the local municipality main building… It’s a togetherness feeling.

Imshin continues to be diverse and beside following some of the links she posted in her posts I can hardly think of a proper comment on a single issue. At least one thing worth mentioning is the new weblog of Yshay Mor, an Israeli currently in London, which also happen to be a refusnik (refuse to serve in the territories). BTW, this is an interview with Imshin done by Dave of Israellycool.

Ran is having some love issues at the moment. Hold on, mate, time heals all. I know it’s never comforting to hear that but it’s true. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. While on the subject, Moonlight is also in a separation process from her current boyfriend and also deserves some supporting thoughts. (For people reading my blog for less then a year, Moonlight is my Ex girlfriend).

Hmpf. It’s raining like hell outside, I better go make sure Leonardo is covered in his doghouse.

Much needed weekend

Ufffffffff… Weekend at last and finally I can rest and relax a little. The work on the mobile game is progressing well against all the difficulties and I’m quite pleased form it so far. I still have to resolve some contract issues with the publishing company, but that will wait until Sunday. I can’t do anything about it anyway until my cousin Iris, which is a lawyer, will have a look at the new contract.

This week was intense and the coming week is going to be intense also. I’ve decided to make my evening free and get back to looking for my own place. Sleeping at my cousin Sagit is nice and pleasant and all, but it’s not a place I can call my own. I really need my own room, my own computer and some privacy. (Reality check: it took me 2 months to start feeling like I need a little privacy. Hmm… not bad!)

I still got about 3-4 works to prepare for the copywriting course. As usual they are over due so I’ll do them this weekend and submit them on Sunday. The coming Sunday going to be packed – There’s a Computer Vision Day at the IDC in the morning, and I’ll have to leave at 16:00 to make it to the course by 17:00. So it’s going to be a lectures day from 9:00 up to 20:00. Ho well. At least it’s issues I enjoy…

Saddam, Raiti Otcha! Ahat Shtaim Shalosh!

While I’m racing time (10 minutes left, only 2 ads and 1 radio spot finished) The americans announced the capture of Saddam Hussain. I guess Bush is gonna throw a huge party on the white house tonight. Well, he earned it… (I wonder what Salam Pax will write about this.)

Dig the Big Lebowski look on this guy!
Hey, dude, where’s my carpet? It really did the room!

Brief.

6 Ads. 1 double spread ad. 8 Radio spots. 1 low budget TV commercial. 2 stories.
2 hours.

No inspiration.

Will I make it?

Have to.

Happy Birthday Nir!

My friend Nir just turned 28 as well, so I threw a little quiet close-gang-only party meeting. If you were here at the time you could have seen it live.
