Warchild by Karin Lowachee

I had a tooth extracted yesterday and was in pains. I’ve bought a book just to have something to distract me. I was half reading it half sleeping most of friday. Managed to pull through the day without taking any painkillers or anything. In addition to everything it was TERRIBLY HOT and the air contitioner in my room isn’t working. I had to stick with the ventilator. Bummer.

I’ll try to catch on some stuff I should have done yesterday.

A bunch of

A short post with several cool stuff I’ve picked up :

Rockfish – A beautifull short animation flick from Blur studios. Really good. (if you want to download it use this link. 60 MB)

- Jewish version of Hey-Ya
- Another flash animation trying to translate an Era song to Hebrew – Smasung’s Kantata (Ima, to call Soli-Dolittle?)
- “Dance Dance Revolution” on one leg? This one proves that even with only one leg blacks still dance twice better then any white man.

- Create sign from Iraq!. cool thing.. You can also look what others have written before you :)

“hacking” CFXweb

Some fuckheads keep attacking my site (cfxweb.net) and hacking into the phpnuke admin panel. Everytime they succeed they remove all admins, create thier own and add some shitty public message on the site’s front page. It’s all phpnuke hacks which is pretty lame. I’m installing a fix on this now. Anyway it really pisses me off. I’ve got no idea why these kids keep attacking a computer graphics programming site. Today this was a spanish kid, 2 weeks ago it were russian kids, what the hell is wrong with these people?!

Scriptkiddies arses.

Quiet evening. Just thoughts.

It’s funny how you can be really close to someone, and how things can change so dramatically in one evening. Real Bummer. But I guess that’s part of life as well. (then again, people eat what they cook…)

I haven’t updated this personal site for long cause.. well.. I didn’t feel like writing all this time. When I was not working I was resting. And since there is another web project that demands my attention, I hardly spent time on this little personal one. I didn’t even spend much time on cfxweb either, unfortunately. I’m thinking up methods how to get it more alive again. Probably get people helping.

Anyway, I’ve got a new computer this Thursday, and about time! I got myself an AMD Athlon 64, 3 Ghz. I think that between the coding for work I’ll return to do some serious graphics programming. Not that I have a lot of time for that, but I’ll MAKE time for it.

Our debute game, MotorDuels: Outcast, is already in QA and if everything is ok, will be released very soon. We’re currently working on MotorDuels: Gangs, which is the multiplayer version. It’s first version going to be for the sony ericsson Z1010 (a G3 device) but we’ll have all the regular versions ready by the time it needs to be out. Having a solid game engine makes everything much easier. We now only have to worry about the networking, which makes the work much less stressful.

BTW – I got my webcam running on the new computer so it’s possible I’ll be broadcasting from our new (temporary) office in the coming weeks. Well, I’ll be off now. Talk to you all later.
