Avi Karotchi – a family member killed by terrorists

Avi Karoutchi I’ve just got back from a cousin’s wedding (Mazal Tov Meital!), where I found out the soldier who was killed earlier today in Philadelphy route is a relative of mine.

Avi Karoutchi belongs to the section of the family that lives in Beer Sheva. The family of my grandmother’s brother.

He was killed while working at the Philadelphy route on the Egyptian border, as Islamic Jihad terrorists attacked the soldiers and civilian construction workers working on the route. He was only 25 and was suppose to get married in 2 months to his girlfriend Liraz.

Here is the news bit in Haarez and you can find more versions of the news through Google.

A wedding and a funeral in the same extended family, on the same day.

In the Funeral, Avi’s sister
